Following Lisbon’s growing prominence as a new Silicon Valley hub in Europe, the Moscavide Project Oriente is a multi-building tech oasis born from an existing retail mall.
The design transforms a three-story structure into a world-class office campus conveniently located near the Moscavide train and metro station, the Lisbon Portela International Airport, and the Vasco Da Gama Motorway Bridge. Offering expansive views over the River Tagus, the transformation is mindful of its surroundings and takes inspiration from the pedestrian-scale, intimate-grain design of the neighboring streets with Portuguese Blue tiling, timber fins, and native plantings.
Office space is balanced with ample amenities integrated throughout the workspaces. Outdoor landscaping and terraces, public event spaces, and food and beverage facilities contribute to an environment that welcomes users and prioritizes their wellness. The flexible interior design allows tenants to customize their fit-outs and is mindful of future rethinking.
The renovated roof is fully utilized to provide an active environment above ground level. Multi-use spaces, an auditorium, and labs are connected through walking routes, verandas and terraced courtyards provide shade, and light wells offer natural light into the office interiors. Altogether, the project blends the indoors and outdoors, providing accessible green space that promotes activity and recreation among users.
