On December 8, the KPF Principal provided insight into the purpose and design of the Guangzhou campus extension of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
Jill Lerner was joined by Professor Lionel Ni, Provost of HKUST, in the webinar that focused on the current construction of the college’s campus extension in Nansha, Guangzhou. The project will span over one million square meters and will accommodate more than 10,000 students and faculty. The webinar was moderated by John Fitzgerald, former Chief Executive of ULI Asia Pacific and current Senior Executive of Kaisa Group.
Hosted jointly by the Urban Land Institute’s China Mainland and Hong Kong chapters, this webinar was part of a monthly series covering the growing business activity in the Greater Bay Area of China. Through this series, Urban Land Institute’s mission is to track the transition of the Greater Bay Area as it shifts from the tradition industrial export model to a leading area in technology and urban development. HKUST expanding their reach into Guangzhou emphasizes the potential of the area and its increasing economy.
