Michael Greene AIA
Since joining KPF in 1985, Michael has been instrumental in shaping the firm’s operational and organizational methodologies as well as overseeing some of the practice’s most complex, award-winning work.
With over 40 years of experience, Michael has managed the design of office, headquarters, retail, residential, hotel, cultural, academic, research, and healthcare facilities throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.
As Managing Principal, Michael provides leadership throughout all phases of planning, design, and construction to ensure delivery of high quality, highly functional buildings. This dedication is aptly reflected by the Gannett/USA Today Headquarters in McLean, Virginia, which was honored by the American Institute of Architects prestigious AIA National Chapter Honor Award for Architecture, the Institute’s highest honor.
Other notable projects include consulting on the West End expansion of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the Samsung Seoul Headquarters complex in Seoul, and YSL (Yonge Street Living), a high-rise, mixed-use tower in Toronto, soon to be one of the tallest buildings in Canada and a sleek, sculptural addition to the city’s skyline.
Michael has co-chaired the New York Building Congress’ Architects Advisory Committee and has been a guest speaker for a number of organizations, presenting on topics such as smart growth at the Urban Land Institute. He also served as a member of the 2010 Nominating Committee for the AIA New York Chapter, and has served several terms on the Chapter’s Finance Committee.
