Min Kim has more than two decades of architectural design experience, having worked on a breadth of projects throughout the United States and Asia. Since joining KPF in 2001, he has contributed to the design of many residential, hospitality, and mixed-use projects.

A common theme in Min’s design work is sustainability. He was the Senior Designer for the Prudential Headquarters building in Newark, New Jersey, as well as the project’s interiors. The project, a model example of the integration of BIM technologies and design, achieved LEED Gold certification.

Min is highly experienced in residential design, creating developments informed by their surroundings. Min was Senior Designer for 27 Wooster Street, a luxury condominium in the historic cast iron district in New York, known for the project’s contrasting use of materials: a contemporary expression of glass, metal, and stone. Harbor Tower at the Prince Bay Taiziwan Plots blends Min’s residential and sustainable design, earning a China 2-star rating.

Expanding into mixed-use and masterplan design, Min’s projects utilize vertical space and cohesively blend public and private spaces. The 148-acre Citymark Center spans five city blocks and features one of Shenzhen’s tallest towers.

In addition to his responsibilities at KPF, Min is an active member of the AIA New York Chapter. He has served as design studio critic and professor at his alma mater since 2000 and as a visiting design studio critic at the City College of New York. Min is a trainee for the volunteer Recovery Safety Assessment program from California Governor’s Office of Emergency Service.
