Principal Forth Bagley Represents KPF at ULI Summit

During the first week of June, Principal Forth Bagley moderated a discussion and participated in a panel at the 2017 ULI Asia Pacific Summit. Hosted in Singapore, the event brought together “over 500 decision makers from all sectors of the real estate industry to discuss ideas and best practices, as well as make new connections and strengthen relationships.”

On June 6th, Forth moderated a talk titled “The Future of Workspace and the Sharing Economy,” gathering ULI members to engage in peer-to-peer exchange, including two representatives from the Urban Land Institute and one from Colliers International Singapore. The panel focused on understanding how co-working spaces have upended traditional office design and leasing strategies.

The next day, Forth participated in a panel on repositioning with the title “Resiliency, Flexibility and Livability of Urban Space.” He introduced 390 Madison and One Vanderbilt in New York and Covent Garden in London as examples of design efforts that aim to increase livability in major downtown areas. Together, these projects retrofit the contemporary workplace, increase walkability, and open up public spaces.  Forth also spoke about Hudson Yards and the importance of embracing and integrating technology even after a building’s completion, which expands the value proposition of the project.

Established in 1936, the Urban Land Institute maintains a commitment to “providing leadership in the responsible use of land and in sustaining and creating thriving communities worldwide.” With almost 40,000 members internationally, and more than 1,800 across Asia Pacific, ULI is able to address challenges on a global and local scale, inspiring KPF’s approach to its wide range of projects.
