A Design Director at KPF, Francesco cares about every aspect of the project from the pursuit of new ideas to a devoted attention to detail, focusing on the personal and relational forces that govern the process of architecture.

Francesco engages with physical and historical context while maximising programme efficiency to meet the client’s brief. His portfolio spans a broad range of typologies, including mixed-use, high-rise, commercial, residential, hospitality, urban planning, retail, and industrial design.

Francesco believes in the power of architecture to disclose and preserve stories. Lorenzini 8-10-12 weaves Milanese rationalism and inspirations from the Futurism movement, with a direct response to the local environment.  The development contributes to the transformation of Porta Romana through the creation of public spaces and new connections.

In Shanghai, Francesco applied sensitivity to the public realm to a large regeneration project in the developing area of Jin Ling Lu. A unique opportunity to reenergise this historical district, the project involved the transformation of existing buildings and new interventions. Respect for heritage and urban continuity was also central at Urban Star, the transformation of an abandoned industrial area in Hangzhou.

Material exploration and craft are key to Francesco’s work. At DAMAC Tower, design inspiration was derived from the material wealth of the local area. Reconstituted stone, ceramic, and terracotta add textures and depth to the building’s facades and complement its unique massing approach.

Francesco is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and a member of ULI Europe. He speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Italian and is a chartered architect in the UK and Italy.
