KPF design leaders attended the three-day conference in Shenzhen, China, presenting five projects that received Awards of Excellence in the 2019 CTBUH Tall Building Awards, including the Ping An Finance Centre, which received Gold.
The recently completed project received the Excellence in Architecture designation.

KPF has announced two recipients of the 2019 Paul Katz Fellowship for study in Tel Aviv, Israel. The winners, Zhonghui Zhu and Miriam Alexandroff, are M.Arch candidates at Princeton and Harvard, respectively.
KPF has been shortlisted as Refurbishment Architect of the Year 2019. Four recently-completed London projects detailed in the entry (Floral Court, Carriage Hall, Which? Headquarters and Southbank Tower) provide a snapshot of the diversity of KPF’s portfolio, displaying the practice’s refurbishment expertise and commitment to the wider city. The winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on May 1st.
Each year, Kohn Pedersen Fox presents three $10,000 awards to students who are in their penultimate year at one of the twenty-seven design schools with whom KPF has chosen to partner. The goal of the award is to allow students to broaden their education through a summer of travel before their final year at school.
As finalists in the Best Futura Mega Project category (One Vanderbilt) and Best Office & Business Development category (CITIC Tower), the KPF-designed projects will go through a final round of judging at the awards ceremony in Cannes, France on March 14th.
