James von Klemperer and Robert Whitlock Celebrate Licensure and Ongoing Work in Singapore

On October 27th, the two Principals were recognized by the Singapore Board of Architects at the organization’s annual presentation ceremony in anticipation of several major KPF projects in the region.

von Klemperer and Whitlock received their local licenses in conjunction with the opening of the firm’s new Singapore office, and on the heels of winning the commission to design the world’s largest airport facility, Changi Terminal 5.

Designed in partnership with Heatherwick Studio, Changi Airport Terminal 5 will add an initial capacity of up to 50 million passengers per year to what is already one of the busiest and most celebrated international airports in the world. Another major project in the area, Robinson Tower, will be a signature boutique retail and office structure on Robinson Road, just blocks from the scenic Marina Bay.

KPF’s new Singapore location will service current and future work in the region, including in Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Jakarta and Sydney, bolstering the reach of the firm’s New York and London operations.
