Education 1975 BS in Architecture at the City University in New York Experience and Qualifications James E. Outen is a Director of Kohn Pedersen Fox and has been a member of the firm since 1980. He has led the execution of some of the most technically complex projects and has extensive experience in high profile office, commercial, media and hospitality projects in The United States, The United Kingdom, Spain, Asia and the Middle East. At KPF’s London office, Mr Outen is currently responsible for contracts, fees, schedule, staffing, monitoring day-to-day progress, working with consultants and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within agreed budgets. His built projects at KPF include the One Logan Square office tower and Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia; the executive offices and TV studios of the American Broadcasting Company in New York; 225 Wacker Drive office tower in Chicago; Goldman Sachs’ European HQ in London; mixed use Atlanta Federal Centre, Georgia, Bur Juman Centre in Dubai UAE, Corporate Headquarters for Endesa in Madrid; Posteel Corporation’s HQ tower in Seoul Korea and the office and retail Orchard Road project in Singapore. Previous Experience In 1966 James Outen served in the U.S. Army and did a tour of duty in the 5th Special Forces Group in Vietnam between 1967-68. Prior to joining Kohn Pedersen Fox, he worked for I.M. Pei & Partners and Philip Johnson Architects in New York, USA.
